101 #33 Complete

Saturday morning, my husband & I visited the OSU-OKC Farmer’s Market.  I’d never been there, but this one seems to be the longest running, most consistent one that’s reasonably close to my house.

I wasn’t sure what to expect.  This is indoors, and being early March, not much produce was available.  I picked up some lettuce for salad since The Monkey is a salad nut. Also figured I’d toss some of the greens in for smoothies (need to get back into the habit of making those!).   We purchased the greens, some bread, honey, peanut butter (super yummy!), eggs, cheese & 1 lb ground lamb.  I’m making pasties with the lamb for Ostara this weekend.  I’m ready for spring!

We ended up spending more than I had planned to. I knew the cost would be higher than at the grocery but I’d much rather pay the farmer direct, instead of going through the middle man of a retail market.   I can’t wait to go back when it’s summer & hopefully can pick up some fresh berries, more produce and maybe I’ll splurge on an organic chicken for roasting.
