101 in 1001 # 96 Play Paintball

Looks like this will be checked off my list on Sunday!  I’m not 100% certain I WANT to play paintball, but it would be a fun family exercise thing to do sooooo ..   My husband bought a new marker, and found his old one (never been used) and put it all together for me.  When he bought that one, took it apart for some reason & was putting it all together before playing one weekend, he ended up in the hospital with a pulmonary embolism.  He hasn’t played paintball since, and that’s been 5-6 years ago.  It was before I was working so, maybe 6-7 years ago. Wow!

But the Monkey got a marker & all the gear for his bday, I’ve got Dave’s old stuff, Dave has newer stuff and the Engineer has some of our loaner stuff to use (not sure he’s going to enjoy the paintball experience – he’d prefer to build w/ his legos or programs online)  I’m really not sure if I’m going to enjoy it either!  It sounds fun, it’s something I think I may want to do, but I’m afraid once I get out there I’ll be all ‘I WANNA GO HOME!!!”

I shot my marker today, first time EVER…  Dave tells me to close my eye, and look down the sight.  I did – and couldn’t see shit.  I close my right eye.  He said close my left eye … I do, sort of, bend down to look through the sight & my eyes get weird & my right eye shuts.  If someone tells me to close one eye, I close my right one.  I can close the left one if I think about it, but it’s hard.  I’m going to try the paintball thing left-handed & see how that works for me.  I certainly can’t do any worse than my practice shots that tipped the fence (was SO afraid I’d clip a passing car!).  I apparently aim too high.

So there will be pictures and maybe I’ll try my 1st vlog if the video on my camera works.  I’m going to save money for a Flip camcorder.   I’ve been inspired to vlog by Suzi Blu  .. I’m just afraid to. I’m afraid of LOTS of things…  lots and lots of things!

I’m afraid of playing paintball!
