More watercolor

I’m going to need to get some more water brushes. I really like playing with watercolors & enjoy their portability.
I think I’m going to do this…
I’ve taken a workshop with Tam before (World of Whimsy) and she is so sweet and gentle, it’s awesome that she’s putting together this HUGE feast of artiness!! So if you’ve ever been inclined to take a workshop, this will have a little bit of everything (and a whole lot of good stuff!)

You Can’t See Me…
This has been on my easel for a week now…
I haven’t liked it. I was disappointed that the yellow didn’t POP like I wanted. It’s just been sitting there, glaring at me as I walk through the dining room & kitchen (ie my studio)
Then one night it dawned on me… “Uh, you probably used a paint that was transparent. It would look better if it was an opaque yellow” #facepalm
Yep… if you didn’t know, paints are labeled transparent, translucent and opaque. I knew it, but I didn’t THINK about it.
So I dug through my paints until I found an opaque yellow (Cad Yellow Medium. I love those Cad colors!) and it really made all the difference in the world!
So Newbie Art tip for the day: pay attention to those labels on your paints.
